THE CESSNA 172R
The Cessna is a single-engine, fixed landing gear airplane powered by a fuel-injected Lycoming IO-360.
The Bendix/King avionics panel features dual KX-155 nav/com radios, and approach-certified KLN-89B GPS,
and autopilot. These features make the airplane an excellent primary trainer as well as an ideal instrument
training platform. The current rate for the Skyhawk is $125 per hr Hobbs time.

PIPER ARROW
Michiana Aviation also offers for rent a 1967 Piper Arrow, a single-engine airplane with retractable
landing gear, powered by a 180-horsepower Lycoming IO-360 and a constant-speed propeller. We use the airplane
as a trainer for commercial pilots and flight instructors, and it is also available for local and cross-country
rentals. The current rate for the Arrow is $150 per hour tach time.

RENTAL
In order to rent as pilot in command, you will need to accomplish a checkout with one of our instructors.
The checkout involves an open-book wrtten test concerning aircraft systems as well as operations in Class C
airspace, along with a flight of approximately one hour.
We will also need to make copies of the following documents:
- Pilot certificate
- Medical certificate
- Driver’s license or other government-issued photo
identification
- Copy of logbook page reflecting either total time or
Cessna time in type

Once you have finished your checkout and retained a copy of our
renter’s regulations, you are ready to go. If you are taking
the airplane for multiple days, we do have a 2.5 hour per day minimum
except by prior arrangement and approval by the Director of Operations.
